BNL-APPROVED!

Barenaked Ladies, OMD and Howard Jones – it’s Last Summer on Earth 2016!

Continuing the Last Summer on Earth tradition, the band this time bring out OMD and Howard Jones to join them across North America.

Barenaked-Ladies

Last Summer on Earth 2016 is a 32-date run across the States, including stops at the iconic Red Rocks amphitheater and Michigan’s DTE Energy Music Center.

Full listings and ticket details have been released today on the band’s official website.

Opening up for BNL on this stretch are Howard Jones and OMD, two acts familiar to North American audiences after a string of memorable hits in the 80s.

OMD (Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark), an English synth-pop four-piece best known for 1980’s “Enola Gay” and “If You Leave” from 1986 film Pretty in Pink, reformed in 2006 and continue to sell out venues across the world with their inimitable blend of electronic, new wave pop sensibilities.

Fellow Brit, new-wave veteran Howard Jones completes the LSOE line-up. Described by AllMusic as “One of the defining figures of mid-’80s synth pop”, Jones is best remembered by such hits as “What Is Love?” (UK #3) “Like To Get To Know You Well” (UK #4) and “Things Can Only Get Better” (UK #6, US #21).
